rewarding experience by volunteering at the
PORTLAND SEAFARER CENTER!
Your presence will help create a warm, welcoming environment
for those far from home!
During the cruise season,
July through October,
our Center will be open from
10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
coinciding with cruise ship schedules
As a Center Volunteer, you can assist in various areas:
Seafarer outreach at the cruise terminals
Helping seafarers pick up packages
Providing access to our Wi-Fi lounge
Sharing information about Portland and local services
Offering friendly hospitality to international mariners
Assisting with gift shop support
Volunteer shifts are two hours minimum, and you’re welcome
to sign up for as many as you’d like.
All volunteers will receive orientation and training to get started
