by volunteering at the

Downtown Portland Seafarer Welcome Center!

Your presence will help create a warm, welcoming environment

for those far from home!

As a Center Volunteer, you can assist in various areas:

Helping seafarers pick up packages

Providing access to our Wi-Fi lounge

Sharing information about Portland and local services

Offering friendly hospitality to international mariners

Assisting with gift shop/money transfer support

​

During the cruise season,

July through October,

our Center will be open daily from

10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

coinciding with cruise ship schedules

​

Volunteer shifts are two hours minimum, and you’re welcome

to sign up for as many as you’d like.

All volunteers will receive orientation and training to get started!
