Has been serving seafarers in New England since 1827. Our mission is to meet their spiritual, social, and practical needs, building on our heritage as The Boston Seaman’s Friend Society.

HOSPITALITY
We ensure seafarers feel at home in all of our port locations. We provide
ship visits, sim cards, shore transportation and personal shopping.
At our Portland Seafarer Center, we also offer a warm reception for seafarers, gift shop/lounge and a Pickup Package service
ADVOCACY
We stand up for the rights and dignity of seafarers across the globe. Our advocacy efforts focus on improving health, safety, and working conditions at sea, ensuring fair treatment and care for those who navigate the world’s waters
PASTORAL CARE
Recognizing the importance of spiritual well-being, we offer chaplaincy services, faith-based resources, and a supportive community. Our mission is to foster meaningful connections and provide spiritual guidance for seafarers seeking solace and support
