December Ditty Bag
Each December, we share handmade ditty bags filled with useful items,
warm clothing, and Christmas cheer with
seafarers spending the holidays away from home.
You can help by sewing bags, collecting needed items,
or making a donation to help us fill each bag.
Here is a tutorial you can follow if
you would like to sew and pack a ditty bag yourself!

If you enjoy knitting, we have a special request!

Seafarers greatly appreciate hand-knitted items for the colder months.
These thoughtful, handmade items offer warmth
and remind seafarers that they are cared for, even while far from home.

Here are some helpful and easy patterns you can follow:

Warm hats Scarves Balaclavas

Please use tight-knit patterns to block cold winds.
If possible, gently pre-wash the hats in lukewarm water to
prevent shrinkage and ensure durability for our seafarers.
